Freely inspired by Lewis Carroll’s famous tale, this exclusive ‘Eklabul’ creation combines dizzying acrobatics, luminous juggling and aerial dance.
Alice encounters the Mad Hatter 🎩, the White Rabbit 🐇 and the Queen of Hearts ❤️ in turn in a whimsical world, between wonder and introspection.
Created here in a ‘semi-aquatic’ format, with our floating portico, luminous fountains and DJ on the water, this show can also be performed in a more traditional version on land.
Suitable for young and old alike, our new show ‘Alice’ is a celebration of nonsense, movement and magic 💫

Do you think you’ve lost your childlike wonder? Perhaps not. It’s still there, hidden away somewhere. With Alice in Waterland, it’s bound to resurface. But watch out! Alice is nothing like a traditional show. Not really theatre. Not just circus. It’s stranger than that. As if dreams had decided to play themselves out on stage.
Think you know the story? Think again. Eklabul transforms it, immerses it, reinvents it. Water, light, music… everything becomes intertwined. Surprises await, and, to be honest, a sense of wonder is never far away. And you? In the midst of it all, you’re no longer quite sure whether you’re watching or playing a part. That sense of confusion will linger, but for your greatest pleasure.
Alice’s World: where the underwater wonderland comes to life before your very eyes!
Close your eyes. In this performance, Alice doesn’t fall. She slides. Not down a rabbit hole. Into the water. You are transported to a strange world—not quite the sea, not quite a dream. There are bubbles floating by. Glimmers of light passing through. And then those silhouettes, slow and light. The artists of Eklabul don’t just perform. They inhabit the set. They become… something else. Acrobats, creatures, guides on a journey that we don’t always understand, but follow all the same. It’s hazy. It’s beautiful. It’s done on purpose. The lights catch you. The costumes shimmer. A figure emerges. And you? You no longer know whether you’re watching or dreaming.

Every performance of Alice in Waterland is a journey. A balancing act between the story you read as a child and the creative madness of Eklabul. Yes, here, circus meets visual magic, but that’s not all… bodies defy gravity and the music sets the pace for a journey that will undoubtedly surprise you at every turn.
The set will sometimes be set on the water, with a floating trapeze, illuminated fountains, not to mention a DJ positioned as if to defy convention. At other times, the stage becomes terrestrial, more traditional. The energy, however, remains the same: total, immersive, vibrant.
This performance is for everyone. Children will be swept away by Alice’s wonderful world, whilst adults will delight in the artists’ virtuosity and the originality of the staging. This show is a rare treat of a kind no longer seen, designed to be shared.

As for the adults, they rediscover that ability to be surprised, moved, and sometimes even deeply touched (even if they’d never admit it). Eklabul presented its brand new show Alice in Waterland at Les Prairies de la Mer in Grimaud. Four presentations were given at the campsite’s large swimming pool, which was transformed into a truly magical world for the occasion.

In a pictorial setting entirely covered in mirrors, this 100% visual show offers a free and creative adaptation of Homer’s famous Odyssey. Punctuated by solo and duo performances, this dreamlike epic will take you from Ulysses’ turbulent waves to the magic of Penelope’s flight. As well as an exceptional acrobatic performance, the central and real presence of water and the aesthetic effects enhance the performers on stage.
