Total verticality
The Chinese pole and the pole dance are two slightly different approaches to a category of acrobatics performed on a vertical bar.
Coming from the circus world, the Chinese pole is more oriented “acrobatics” and strength. With an average height of 6m, Chinese poles allow extremely spectacular acrobatics!
On its side, the pole dance comes from the cabaret world. But the simple dance around a bar has been transformed these last years in complex and gracious acts! Pole dancers are athletes in their own right who evolve with flexibility and class around a duo of bars about 3m high: a fixed bar and a bar mounted on ball bearings to help rotations (the spin). The result is splendid and impressive.
